Wellness Care

Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination, vaccines, and routine wellness and geriatric blood work. Through check-ups and preventive care we can help detect serious health problems. Our puppy and kitten vaccine program starts as young as six weeks of age and through a series of vaccines we can ensure your pet is fully vaccinated against diseases.

For our canine patients we offer additional vaccines:

  •   Rattlesnake vaccine (which can help alleviate the affects of rattlesnake venom should a dog be bitten)
  •   Bordetella vaccine (which is required by most boarding and grooming facilities to protect against the main strain of kennel cough)
  •   Lyme vaccine (which helps prevent Lyme disease carried by ticks)

For our feline patients we offer additional vaccines:

  •  Feline Leukemia vaccine (which protects against Feline Leukemia)
  •  Feline Immunodeficiency Virus vaccine (which protects against Feline Aids)
  •  Feline Infectious Peritonitis vaccine (which protects against FIP, caused by the Corona Virus)

These diseases are transmitted through bodily fluids and the patient should be tested for them before we can vaccinated against them.
