Dr. Rachel Kinser joined Coulter Animal Hospital in August of 2015. Dr. Kinser was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas before moving to Oklahoma for college. She graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2010 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Animal Science and completed her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from OSU in 2013. Dr. Kinser worked in a rural mixed animal practice in Pond Creek, Oklahoma for 2 years before moving back to Amarillo. Her husband, Shawn, is also a veterinarian, and teaches clinical skills at the Texas Tech School of Veterinary Medicine. They have two daughters, Avery and Madelyn. In her spare time, Dr. Kinser enjoys fishing, running, horseback riding, and watching football and baseball. She also serves as the president of the High Plains Veterinary Medical Association and is an active volunteer in the nursery at Hillside Christian Church. Dr. Kinser is passionate about building relationships with owners and their pets, and looks forward to serving her hometown community at Coulter!
